A double-inhale followed by a long, slow exhale.

How to practice

Cyclic sighing uses a first inhale, a smaller top-up inhale, and a long exhale.

  • Inhale gently.
  • Take a second smaller inhale.
  • Exhale slowly and fully.
  • Repeat without forcing the breath.
