How to practice

Pursed-lip breathing uses a short nasal inhale and a longer exhale through lightly pursed lips.

  • Inhale gently through the nose.
  • Purse your lips as if cooling soup.
  • Exhale slowly for twice as long.
  • Keep the neck and shoulders relaxed.
